Azeri Emergency Situations Minister's Visit to Morocco Ended

The visit of the Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov to Morocco ended, Trend reports quoting the Press-Service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations. The Minister participated in the 11th meeting of the Large Risk Agreement of the Council of Europe for Europe and Mediterranean Sea (EUROPA).

Making a speech at the meeting, Heydarov touched on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In addition, he presented to the attention of the meeting participants that in result of the aggressive policy of Armenia, 20% percent of Azerbaijan has been occupied and more than one million Azeri people have become refugees and internally displaced persons in their own country. Moreover, he emphasized that the divisions of the Armenian Armed Forces commit fires in the frontline of the Azerbaijani territories.

The conference Protecting societies from natural calamity through preparation and warning: political priority was aimed at concentrating the efforts of the local and regional bodies in defending Europe and Mediterranean Sea countries from natural calamities. The event brought together nearly 30 countries, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, relevant commissions of the U.N. and approximately 10 international organizations. At the time of the meeting, Heydarov held a meeting with Moroccan Minister of Development of Territories Water Resources and Environment, Muhammad Al Yazgi, the Romanian Deputy Minister of Public Affairs and Territorial Planning Laslo Borbeli, Turkish Minister of Public Affairs Farrukh Hafiz Ozak and others.
