The Year of Russia in Azerbaijan has passed successfully and brought our nations together, Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan's President has stated meeting Russian Prime, Minister Mikhail Fradkov in Baku today, Trend reports.
According to the Head of the Azerbaijani State, the past year has allowed both parties to evaluate the development of the co-operation more clearly. Mr. Aliyev marked the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries, and said that the commercial intercourse between the two countries was rapidly increasing and had virtually doubled.
The Azerbaijani President stressed that the Russian Year in Azerbaijan was coming to its end, but it is continued in other ways and added that in the future the positive Azerbaijani-Russian co-operation would further develop.
