Today, on December 15, Azerbaijan has launched the first commercial gas production from the first production well drilled on gas condensate Shahdaniz field, said Khoshbakht Yusufzadeh, First Vice-President of SOCAR (State Oil Company) to National AzTV Channel, Trend reports.
According to Mr. Yusufzadeh, the daily production rate of the well is 5,6 mln. cubic meters. At the same time, gas condensate is produced from the field at the volume of 2,500 tons per day.
In 2007, we shall have four production wells on Shahdaniz field. It will allow us to produce 20 mln. cubic meters and 10,000 tons of gas condensate per day to the end of 2007, he said.
