During the meetings that I held within my visit to Azerbaijan, we will discus the problems which exist in Azerbaijan and seek the ways of resolving these problems, said the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, Trend reports.
He said that he arrived to Baku on a two-day visit. Within the visit, he met with the representatives of the Government, heads of the political parties and NGOs. According to Christian Strohal, during the meetings with the senior officials, debates will be organized on the co-operation between the OSCE and Azerbaijan Government.
Christian Strohal said that for several years, the OSCE has been co-operating with the Azerbaijan Government with regards to the elections. We will discuss with the government and representatives of the civil society the recommendations and proposals of the OSCE, Christian Strohal said, adding that discussions are continued on the human rights in Azerbaijan. In addition, he said that in other countries, there are successes and problems in Azerbaijan. Christian Strohal said that at the conclusion of his visit to Baku, he will inform on the steps that the OSCE will take in relation with Azerbaijan.
