Next Meeting of Azerbaijani-Pakistani Intergovernmental Economic Co-operation Commission to Take Place in Islamabad

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Eynulla Madatli, exclusively informed Trend that the 4th meeting of Azerbaijani-Pakistani Intergovernmental Economic Co-operation Commission will take place on 29-30 January in Islamabad. The meeting is planned to cover the development of bilateral co-operation, especially with regards to economy, the Ambassador said. In addition, the Commission will consider the issue of organizing bilateral visits of the business people to establish closer economical relations.

According to the Ambassador, the Pakistani Commission is headed by the Minister of Oil & Natural Resources, Amanulla Khan Jadun. The Ambassador stated that recently the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, confirmed the new composition of the Azerbaijani Commission. According to the decision of the State Head, the first Vice Primer Yagub Eyyubov was appointed the Azerbaijan Chairman of the Commission. The Commission also included the Deputy Minister of Defense Industry, Deputy Foreign Minister, Deputy Minister of Communications & Information Technology, Deputy Education Minister, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Health, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and other ministries and state bodies.

The meeting is expected to focus on all aspects of the bilateral commercial and economical co-operation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
