The Head of the Social-Political Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Ali Hasanov exclusively informed Trend that to ensure the energy security of Azerbaijan, one of the priorities in the future will be transforming into an energy-exporting country.
According to the tasks charged by the President Ilham Aliyev, from 2007 the country should fully ensure its energy security and the gas import dependence should be fully liquidated, he said.
It is intended to realize State Programs on constructing module electric power stations and alternative energy sources which should, by the end of the year, liquidate the energy dependence of the country.
