The Advisor of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Pakistan, Sabir Rzayev, informed Trend that talks will take place in April in Islamabad on prospects of co-operation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan with regards to the defense industry. According to him, the negotiations will take place within the official visit of the Defense Minister of Azerbaijan, Yaver Jamalov, to Pakistan. Presently the Embassy is working on the program of the visit.
According to the diplomat, the questions of co-operation of the two countries were discussed recently at the meeting of Yaver Jamalov with Secretary of the Ministry of Defense Industry of Pakistan, Shaig Sidig Temirdi, which took place within the next meeting of the Azerbaijan-Pakistani Intergovernmental Economic Co-operation Commission in Islamabad. The Azerbaijan Minister of Defense Industry is also included in the Commission. During the meeting, the sides mentioned the large potential for the co-operation of the two countries in this sphere. The Pakistan side expressed readiness to share its experience with Azerbaijan in creating defense in Azerbaijan.
