Executive Power of Baku City did not give Permit to Azerbaijan National Independence Party to Hold Action

The Executive Power of Baku City did not grant a permit to opposition Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) to hold an action in front of the Embassy of Iran in Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to ANIP.

Although Baku City Executive Power did not grant a permit to hold action, ANIP will hold an action in front of the Iranian Embassy on February 16th at 13:00, declared a statement of the party.

The action will demonstrate slogans on preventing pressure on Azerbaijanis residing in South Azerbaijan put by Iranian power, releasing Azerbaijanis arrested for realizing their rights.

ANIP has held such actions in front of the Iranian Embassy several times.

ANIP was created in 1992 by Etibar Mammadov who chaired the party until the end of 2004. Presently Mammadov is the Deputy Chairman of International Democratic Union.
