Azerbaijan, Baku / Т corr E. Huseynly / Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive of the Yeny Azerbaijan Party (YAP), met with the Head of the OSCE Baku Office, Ambassador Jose-Luis Herrera on 28 March.
During the meeting the OSCE Ambassador familiarized himself with the structure of YAP, its position in the social-political sphere and relationship with the other functioning political parties in the country.
Ahmadov spoke about the success that YAP had achieved in legal and democratic processes taking place in Azerbaijan. He also added that the Party was the initiator for discussions on common national interests between all the political parties.
The Ambassador noted that once the international community approves the results of the elections, the protest of any political party will not be considered. It would be practical for the opposition to be more lenient and be open for negotiation with the ruling party.
