Georgia, Tbilisi /corr Trend H.Kirtzkhalia / The Advisor of the US Secretary of State, Matthew Bryza, said on 30 March in Tbilisi while commenting on the implementation of the project of Novorossisk-Burgas-Alexandrapulis pipeline that the construction of other pipelines can not prevent the full realization of projects of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline and South Caucasus Pipeline
"We heard the intentions to realize this project during the work on BTC, but it could not block up our work because BTC has a great commercial significance," Bryza said.
The Amreican diplomat said that there is nothing strange in realizing Novorossisk-Burgas-Alexandrapulis pipeline because presently everybody seeks alternative ways. Constructing new magistrals is a movement in this direction.
"We hope that our NATO partners, Greece and Bulgaria, will reasonably approach the issue of careful attitude towards national activities," Bryza said. He stressed that the gas delivery has no threats because the gas via South Caucasus Pipeline goes to Turkey, from there to Greece and further to Europe.
"The volume of the gas delivered to Greece will increase and it will raise the importance of the project," he said.
