Two More Azerbaijani Oppositional Parties to Cooperate
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Alizadeh / The oppositional "Azerbaijan Yolu" Political Movement and National Democratic Party (NDP) have concluded an agreement on cooperation between each other in Baku on April 4. The agreement was signed between the Chairman of the Movement, Ilgar Gasimov, and the Chairman of the NDP, Iskandar Hamidov.
The parties have agreed to take an active part in formation of civil society and in the process of democratization, solve human rights issues, cooperate in providing democratic elections and settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, improve the living standards of the population, as well as to represent mutual political interests in the election bodies and other organizations.
Mr. Hamidov said that he had supported the mass-meeting in Baku against the rise in prices to be held preliminarily on May 12. He calls on the members of the Party to take an active part in the forthcoming action.
