Azerbaijani Opposition Leaders Decide to Hold Continuous Consultation

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Araz Alizadeh , the co-chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (SDPA), stated on the 6th of June that Azerbaijani opposition leaders agreed to hold continuous consultations due to political process within the country.

The Azerbaijani National Independent Party, the Open Society Party of Azerbaijan (ANIP), the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (DPA), the Musavat Party, The Tereggi Party and the Social Democratic Party of Azerbaijan (SDPA) are represented at the meeting in the SDPA's office.

Opposition parties exchanged opinions on the national problems of Azerbaijani's, along with sharing their proposals and positions.

"We decided to continue consultations. The next consultation will be held in the DPA's office," the SDPA's co-chairman said.

Ali Orujov , the deputy chairman of the ANIP, stated that the issue on creating a new opposition Alliance was discussed. However, parties avoided to pass immediate decisions and to sign a long term agreement," Orujov added.
