Increase in State Employees’ Wages to Reduce Bribery and Corruption: Senior State Official

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Ilhamgizi / Ali Hasanov , the head of the Public and Political Department of the Azerbaijan President's Executive Power, stated on the 22nd of June that an increase in salaries of state and government employees will reduce bribery and corruption within the system.

The economic development of the country promotes the increase in salaries of state and government employees. "Wages of the state and government employees are increased to fight against bribery and corruption," Hasanov added.

According to Hasanov , the state employees occupy second place, in terms of wages, following court employees. He regarded the increase of MPs' salaries as obvious. There is a total of 124 MPs in the country and they should receive high salaries.

"Soon it is planned to increase salaries of all employees of state and government bodies," Hasanov announced.
