Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K. Ramazanova / The OSCE is calling on Azerbaijan to make changes to its Bill on the Freedom of Assembly, OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, said in Baku on 19 October.
"The OSCE will always remind Azerbaijan about the Bill and draw other international organizations into the issue," the Secretary General said.
Ramiz Mehtiyev, the head of the Executive Administration of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, appealed to the Venice Commission to assess the existing Bill on Freedom of Assembly in 2006. A range of discussions were held regarding the issue.
