Americans Consider Education Base for Development of Democracy and Government –Ambassador
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. К.Ramazanova / Americans consider education the base for democracy and development of government, Anne E. Derse, the US ambassador to Azerbaijan said during the opening ceremony of the new secondary school 323 in Yeni Gala settlement in Baku City.
According to ambassador, construction of new schools by the US is invested in the future prospect of Azerbaijani children.
US embassy opened the 13th school in Azerbaijan on 24 October. Construction of the new secondary school 323 in Yeni Gala settlement in Azizbayov district of Baku City was financed by the US Military Commanding in Europe and conducted by US Embassy on cooperation in defense sphere. About 200 schoolchildren can receive education in the school.
The US is planning to construct new school for internally displaced children from Azerbaijan's occupied Lachin region.
Construction of the school where reside about 500 internally displaced families was one of the significant steps in Azerbaijan, Misir Mardanov, the Azerbaijani Minister of Education, said.
"All these projects cause strengthening the relations between Azerbaijan and US," the Minister said.
