Tough-guy actor Mickey Rourke arrested for drink-driving

(dailymail.co.uk) - Tough-guy American actor Mickey Rourke, star of "9 1/2 Weeks" and "Angel Heart," was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after being stopped while riding a motor scooter in Miami Beach, Florida.

The actor, who used to belong to a tough biker gang, was stopped after making an illegal u-turn on a Vespa after leaving a club in Miami at 2am.

He was seen weaving from lane to lane on the green scooter and failed a sobriety test administered on the street, the arrest report said.

When stopped Rourke, 55, asked police officers: "What the **** did I do?".

The arresting officer wrote in his police report that Rourke had a "flushed face, bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath" when he was stopped in the city's South Beach entertainment district at around 4 a.m.

And Rourke failed the standard sobriety test, which according to the police report, "he did not perform to standards".

Told he was being arrested, Rourke then complained: "I'm not drunk, I didn't even drink that much."

He was booked into the Miami-Dade Pre-trial Detention Centre on charges of driving under the influence and is being held on ?500 ($1000) bail.

Rourke, a one-time professional boxer who attended high school not far from the scene of his arrest.
