Azerbaijan, Lankaran, 23 January / Trend corr.P.Aliyeva / The Azerbaijani State Committee on Religious Structures held raids in the south regions of Azerbaijan in order to prevent the sale of prohibited religious books in the country.
"The Committee submitted a list of prohibited books to book shops to prevent their sale," Mirakhya Badirov, the head of the department of State Committee on Work with Religious Structures, stated to Trend.
The prohibited religious books have been exported to the southern regions of Azerbaijan, Lerik, Astara, Lankaran, Yardimli, Jalilabad and Masalli).
According to Badirov, about 4,000 officially prohibited religious books have been found in the southern regions recently.
