Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 June / Trend corr. R.Ergun / The names of the strongest footballers of the Premier League of Azerbaijan for 2007 and 2008 were defined. According to 15 days poll by Trend , four footballers, who took part in the Premier League, differed from others.
The names of three footballers in each position were placed in the website of the agency, which held the poll "Who is the best footballer in Azerbaijan in 2007 and 2008?
Rauf Mehtiyev, the goalkeeper from the Olympic team, won the nomination "the best goalkeeper" (8.06%), as well as Dmitriy Kramarenko, goalkeeper from the Lankaran-Khazar team (5.93%) and Vladimir Michovich, goalkeeper from the Nefchi team (2.54%).
Mehtiyev missed only seven goals in this season. This is the second best world performance.
Rashad Sadigov, player of Nefchi team, won in the nomination "the best full-back" (17.37%), as well as Tarlan Ahmadov, player of Olympic team (5.08%) and Rodomir Todorov, player of Khazar-Lankaran team (2.14%).
Georgiy Adamiya, half-back of Nefchi team won the nomination "the best half-back" (24.14%), as well as Fabio Luis Ramim (15.24%) from Olympic, and Mahmud Gurbanov (8.06%) from Inter.
Khagan Mammadov, shooter from Inter team, was recognized as the best forward with 4.68% votes, as well as Branimir Subashich (Nefchi - 4.23%) and Junivan Suares (Olympic - 2.54%).
Mammadov scored 19 goals during the Premier League. Some 2,481 people took part in the poll.
