Moscow State University Baku Branch Opened (video)
Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 October / Trend corr. S.Agayeva/ Opening ceremony of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) Baku branch took place on 4 October.
Azerbaijanїs Education Minister Misir Mardanov, chancellor of the MSU Baku branch Nargiz Pashayeva and co-director of the MSU Baku branch Vitali Fedorchuk cut the red ribbon.
Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Executive Administration Department on Humanitarian Policy Fatma Abdullazade, Vice-Premier Elchin Afandiyev, Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, IT Minister Ali Abbasov, Minister of Tourism and Culture Abulfaz Garayev, Minister of Health Ogtay Shiraliev, etc, were in attendance.
On 15 January, Azerbaijani President decreed to open the MSU branch in Baku. The educational activities of the Baku branch will base on the MSU curriculum and programs. The students will be taught mainly by the MSU staff. Graduates will receive MSU diplomas.
Each of the three faculties (language study, chemistry and applied mathematics) to operate at the University enrolled 25 people.
