Date of entrance exams to higher schools in Azerbaijan announced

The State Commission on Student Admission (SCSA) of Azerbaijan announced the date of entrance exams to higher schools of the country.

Exams on the first group of specialty will be held on July 12, on the second group of specialty - on July 24, on the third group - on 5 July and on the fourth group - on July 18, SCSA Chairman Maleyka Abbaszade told a press conference.

A total of 114,274 school leavers have registered e-applications to attend entrance exams to higher schools of the country. Some 36,221 school leavers registered e-applications to the first group of specialties, 25,354 - to the second, 36,116 - to the third and 16,583 - to the fourth group of specialties.

There are 55,844 men and 58,390 women among the school leavers. Out of which 102,221 registered e-applications to the Azerbaijani branch and 12,063 - to the Russian branch. 

Entrance exams will be held on 149 specialties in Azerbaijan this year.

The third group of specialties includes the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Police Academy, National Security Academy; the first group includes the Defense Ministry Higher Military School, the Emergency Situations Ministry Academy, the Baku Fire School; the fourth group includes military schools, secondary medical school under the Medical University, and the second group includes the Academy of State   Border Service.

School leavers from the Russian branch will pass exams on the Azerbaijani on July 21.

Applicants have to fill their certificate marks in e-applications.

The second exams to the magistrates will be held on June 21.
