Patriarch Kirill arrives in Istanbul

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill visited Turkey on July 4, Interfax said.

Plane with delegation of Russian Orthodox Church landed in the international airport of Ataturk in Istanbul at noon local time, correspondent of Interfax-Religion said. Patriarch Kirill will visit special residence of Constantinople patriarchy in Istanbul region of Fanar. He will meet with Varfolomey I and visit Saint Sophia Cathedral.

Program of three day-visit of Patriarch Kirill to Turkey includes public worship in George patriarch cathedral in Fanar, consecration of restored temple of Saint Konstantin and Yelena under the Russian consulate, meeting with supreme mufti of Istambul, communication with compatriots living in Turkey.
