Rights of national and religious minorities are ensured by the constitution in Iran, head of opposition fraction of the Iranian parliament.

"I can not say that there are no problems with national and religious minorities in Iran. But there are few problems," head of the fraction Mohammad Reza Tabesh told Trend .

He said that actions are taken in Iran to solve these problems in Iran.

The Iranian constitution has great potential to protect rights of national and religious minorities. Their rights are protected, Tabesh told Trend at the press-festival in Tehran.

Head of the fraction also said that temporary difficulties are not connected with the current government. "Rights of national and religious minorities are protected by the Iranian constitution at the top level. Attitude towards representatives of national and religious minorities in Iran is fair," Tabesh said. 

He also expressed hope for higher level of execution of the constitution articles on national and religious minorities.
