The court passed a sentence on woman accused of drug trafficking from Iran to Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Heinous Crimes Court sentenced 47-year-old Astara resident Khalida Abdullayeva to seven years and six months imprisonment, the court told Trend news.
The accused is charged under the Articles 206.2 (smuggling by a group of persons through prior agreement) and 234.4.3 (manufacture, acquisition, maintenance, transfer, transport or sale of precursors for the illegal manufacture and processing of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
Abdullayeva was arrested Dec.15. In her testimony, the arrested said that she purchased the drug from stranger in Iran.
