The Baku Appeals Court reviewed a complaint of Azerbaijani Central Bank's (CBA) employyes, including Treasury Department head Firangiz Hajiyeva, Cash Operating Department head Arshad Dzhalilov, and cashiers Shahnaz Samedova, Nazilia Bagirova, Kenul Ismayilova and Sabina Mammadova

Earlier the Baku Heinous Crimes Court reviewed the verdict against Jalilov, who was sentenced to four years imprisonment.

The court sentenced Hajiyeva to three years in imprisonment, Dzhalilov to six years, Shahnaz Samedova, Nazilia Bagirova and Kenul Ismayilova to eight years and Sabina Mammadova to twi years. 

Hajiyev and Dzhalilov were denied the right to work in public service for two years, Mamedov for one year and the others for three years.

The staff misappropriated seven billion (old Azerbaijani) manat belonging to the CBA from 2003 to 2008. The National Security Ministry detained the employees as a result of operational activities carried out in December 2008

Hajiyeva, Dzhalilov and the cashiers were accussed of Article 308.2 (Abusing Official Powers) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
