ITAR-TASS Director General: Azerbaijani-Russian public forum should be continued in future (PHOTO)

We are the force that can do much, ITAR-TASS Director General Vitaly Ignatenko said today at the closing the First Forum of Azerbaijani-Russian public held in Baku.

There will be estimations of the Azerbaijani-Russian forum. But now we understand that we need each other for the first time during in many years. We are the force that can do much, ITAR-TASS Director General Vitaly Ignatenko said today at the closing the First Forum of Azerbaijani-Russian public held in Baku.

"Even in Moscow it is difficult to put together such a constellation as in Baku,. Prominent people who have done much for Azerbaijan gathered here for our colleagues to gain our experience," Ignatenko said.

Today, Baku hosts the first Russian-Azerbaijani Forum on humanitarian cooperation, organized by the two countries. The forum will discuss issues of bilateral relations, interaction of political institutions, civil society, professional associations and creative unions. Particular attention will be paid to the role of the media in building bridges between Russia and Azerbaijan, the preservation of the Russian language and the expansion of the Russian-speaking information space.

According to him, all guests of the forum have helped to save the connection of times.

"We got much pleasure by meeting with the Azerbaijani President and First Lady. The forum should be continued in future!" he said.

On Friday in Baku opened the first Russo-Azerbaijani Forum on humanitarian cooperation. Its organizers are the state structures of the two countries. The forum discussed topical issues of bilateral relations, the interaction of political institutions, civil society, professional associations and creative unions of countries. Particular attention is paid to the role of media in building bridges between Russia and Azerbaijan, bringing the reality of two states to the general public, preserving the Russian language and expanding the Russian-speaking information space.
