The Jubilee 30th World Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics starts in Moscow on Monday. Opening of the World Championship promises to be a grand event from the perspective of the show. Gymnasts master arena of sports complex "Olympiyskiy" where will be held the competition.
On Saturday and Sunday were held "podium" trainings of athletes in the individual exercises in the main hall of the "Olympiyskiy", where everything is now ready for the Jubilee Cup.
In the individual competitions Azerbaijan will be represented by gymnasts Aliya Garayeva, Anna Gurbanova and Samir Mustafayev.
As the head of the press service of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Shahin Kyazimzade said, competition in the individual programs with the ball, rope, ribbon and hoop will be held from Monday 20 to Friday 24 September. Tuesday, September 21 will be known champions in the exercises with a rope and hoop, on Thursday will be the finals in the programs with the ball and ribbon. Friday 24 will be devoted to the all-around events. On Saturday and Sunday will take place performances in the team group events.
The potential of Azerbaijani athletes are very high. This is recognized also by rivals. As previously noted at the press conference President of Russian gymnastics federation Irina Viner, Azerbaijani athletes are able to provide serious competition to the main favourites - Russian women - and compete for medals of World Championship.
