The Azerbaijani Government has taken a decision to approve an action plan on the use of grant funds worth 14,500 euros allocated by the European Commission in connection with the implementation of the "Program of support for reforms in the sphere of justice".
The grant program aims at preparing an action plan to improve the potential of regional offices of the judiciary bodies, the Academy of Justice and the Penitentiary Service, improve prison conditions, the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers website reports.
The program aims to support reforms aimed at modernizing the system of justice, achieving its independence and transparency, and strengthening of administrative potential.
The ministries of justice, economic development, finance and other authorized organizations are entrusted to ensure implementation of the plan of actions. It is advisable to involve both local and foreign experts in the implementation of the plan, use the European Union's experience.
