An earthquake hit the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, said the statement posted Oct.11 on the website of the Republican seismological service center of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The earthquake was recorded at 06:55 a.m. (GMT+5:00) in the Caspian Sea, 117 kilometers south-east of Nardaran.
Magnitude of the earthquake was 3.1, with its center at a depth of 48 kilometers.
The tremors were not felt.
