25 injured in an accident at an offshore production platform in the Guneshli offshore field sent home, head of the emergency departments of the Central Hospital of Oil Workers of Azerbaijan Raud Asadov told Trend Dec.5.
He said, that 32 people were taken the hospital. Seven people are now undergoing in-patient treatment. On woman is among them. Their condition is not serious, Asadov said.
The ignition started on Dec.4 at the platform No.10 of this field, where the Azerbaijani SOCAR company produces oil and gas through its own funds.
SOCAR said that the fire at the platform was caused by the windstorm, which damaged a gas line.
