Int'l conference dedicated to Azeri & Turksih media due in Baku

On 4 April the international conference Azerbaijani and Turkish Media: Similarities and Differences will be held, the Azerbaijani Media Council told Trend.

Attending the event will be the representatives of media organizations and groups of Turkey, the heads of the popular Turkish newspapers such as Millet, Hurriyet and Tercuman.

Azerbaijan will be represented at the conference by the editors of leading newspapers, heads of media bodies, as well as officials. Around 100 people are planned to participate in the conference.

The conference will concern the current state of media of the both countries and some moments in the practice. The participants of the event will also discuss methods of self-control, laws on media and ethic codes, role of media bodies and organizations in the society.

Meetings are planned in several media organizations, TV channels, newspapers and education institutions within the visit of the Turkish guests to Azerbaijan.

It should be mentioned the organizers of the conference are the Media Council and the Turkish embassy in Azerbaijan.
