The Press Council chairman Aflatun Amashov appealed to the Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov and the Interior Minister Ramil Usubov in regard to the assault on the Azadlig newspaper employee Fikret Huseynli, Amashov has told Trend.
According to him, meeting of the Press Council permanent commission on the problems of media with the state bodies has been held today. Under the decision the commissions chairman Ibragim Mammadli has attended Husenli at his home.
On the results of the meeting with Husenli, the Press Council appealed to the Prosecutor Generals office and the Interior Ministry requiring to investigate the incident and call the criminals to account.
