Accused Person wasn't Aware of Crimes Committed by Former Senior Official of Azeri Interior Ministry

On October 11, during the court session on the criminal cases of the former senior official of the Head Investigation Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov and the criminal gang headed by him, accused Kamil Sadraddinov, the former Chief of the Section for Fight with Property Crimes of the Head Investigation Department of the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, provided evidences. He stressed that he wasn't aware of the crimes committed by Mammadov. The court session on the cases of Mammadov and his gang comprising of 25 persons, is held in the Court of Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan under the Chair of Judge Ali Seyfaliyev, Trend reports.

Sadraddinov refused his evidences provided in the preliminary investigation and the accusations raised against him in regard with numerous episodes. These evidences was received from me under pressure. I wasn't aware of the crimes committed by Mammadov. I only expressed my pretension to Mammadov because he didn't come to work over recent period. Then Mammadov threatened me, saying that I have strong supporters and I can make you dismissed from the bodies of the Interior Ministry, Sadraddinov emphasized.

Accused Sadraddinov appealed to Mammadov in the court hall, saying that Haji, at that time you hoped for your supporters, now call the names of your supporters.

Sadraddinov emphasized that he had began to work in the internal bodies since 1976. He had worked in various positions in the internal bodies of Russia by 1990. In 1990 he returned to Azerbaijan and continued working in the internal bodies.

According to Sadraddinov, when he was appointed to the Department for Fight with Property Crimes, Mammadov was working there as chief operative commissioner. I knew Mammadov as a model person while I was working in Apsheron District Police Department. But when he came to works, disputes emerged between us, Sadraddinov underlined.
