At its meeting in Paris on 15 January, the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men will discuss the situation of women in South Caucasus. Committee members will also have an exchange of views with consultant expert Svetlana Polenina (Russia) on respect for the principle of equality in civil law, Trend reports with reference to the statement of the Council of Europe. Azerbaijan will be represented at the meeting by the member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE, Elmira Akhundova. The conference will also be attended by the representatives of Armenia and Russia. The meeting is open to the press.
