Boris Kutin, the President of ECU (European Chess Union) has stated during the today's press conference in Park Inn Hotel in Baku that Azerbaijan may host any large-scale significant chess tournaments not later than in 2009.
He stressed that the calendar of all the tournaments for the forthcoming years had already perapred, however ECU expected an application from Azerbaijan, taking into consideration the country's experience in holding several large-scale tournaments.
