The Azerbaijan Education Minister, Misir Mardanov, said on January 25 that the investment expenses on education in 2007 are forecasted in the amount of AZN 82 mln.
The Minister said that this figure in 2006 amounted to AZN 48 mln.
Financing of the education sphere is developing dynamically. The budget for the education increased by 33% in 2006 and 47% in 2007, the Minister said.
According to Mardanov, it is intended to begin construction of 292 new schools and capital repair of more than 100 schools.
