Azerbaijan, Baku / Т corr S. Aghayeva / Russian Government supplied textbooks on 310 disciplines on methodological and fiction literature in Russian to Gymnasium of Baku No 134 on 30 March.
The textbooks include Russian, Algebra, Physics, Chemistry and other disciplines as well as various works on Methodic and Pedagogic Sciences, and scientific literature.
"Taking into consideration the number of the pupils in Azerbaijan studying in Russian, even the amount of the supplied books is insufficient," the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Basily Istratov, said.
Further textbooks will be supplied to Azerbaijan next year. "They should correspond to the interests of the pupils and the curriculums," the Ambassador noted.
Istratov stressed that the level of the Russian language education in Azerbaijan is very high and it gives some advantages to the Azerbaijanis in the post-Soviet area.
