Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / MP Rabiyyat Aslanova, the Chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Human Rights, stated that the immigration flow to Azerbaijan does not carry any threat. "The international information bank gives the necessary information about each immigrant. In case of suspicions the immigrant is immediately extracted from the country," Aslanova said. According to Aslanova, the main issue concerning immigrants is employment. Aslanova noted that immigrants coming to Europe cannot integrate into society. Despite the number of immigrants increasing and the fact that European countries are increasingly discussing the issues of granting immigrants political rights, the majority of immigrants to Europe stay there for a minimum of ten or fifteen years and still do not use their human rights. The Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE recommends strengthening control over immigration flows.

Experts consider that Azerbaijan should toughen its legislation to prevent the flow of immigrants. The issue on immigration will be discussed at the Parliament's autumn session.
