Azerbaijan sees decrease in housing on Baku’s secondary market

The average cost of housing in the secondary market of Azerbaijan’s Baku city decreased by 18.02 percent in January 2022 compared to January 2021, amounting to 141,101 manat ($83,000), MBA Group consulting company told Trend.

Moreover, the average cost of housing in the secondary market in January 2022 amounted to 142,613 manat ($83,890), which is 1.6 percent more compared to January 2021.

The average cost of housing in the primary market increased by 14.3 percent in January 2022 compared to January 2021, amounting to 195,087 manat ($114,757). The average cost of housing amounted to 177,023 manat ($104,131) in January 2022, which is by 10.20 percent less compared to January 2021.

The prices for cottage-style houses and private houses decreased by 8.58 percent in January 2022 compared to January 2021. The average price of one square meter of cottage-style houses and private houses amounted to 842 manat ($495) in January 2022. The average price amounted to 921 manat ($541) in January 2021 while it was 864 manat ($508) in January 2022.
