Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / Rise in prices for consumer goods and tariffs in September made up 1.1% compared to August, and 16.4% compared to the August of 2006, according to the Azerbaijan Statistics Committee.
The prices for foodstuffs increased 1.5%, non-foods - 0.4%, and services - 0.7%.
In January to September inflation rate amounted to 16% compared to the same period of 2006. Rise in prices for foodstuffs toped 15.3%, non-foods - 10.3%, services - 24.6%.
The prices for foodstuffs in September increased 15% compared to 2006, non-foods - 11.1%, services - 26.5%.
