Iran, Tehran / corr Trend V.Sharifov / Over the next ten yaers Iran plans to invest $4bln in the development of the water resources of the country, Parviz Fattah, the Iranian Energy Minister said in Tehran on 27 November.
These investments will improve its transportation and increase recoverable resources, the minister said in a conference on water resources, held in Iran.
Water consumption in Tehran with a population of approximately 20mln people, made up 720mln cu m over the past nine months.
Fattah considers that part of the funds can be invested by the Government and the part by international financial institutions.
