Ziya Mammadov , the Transport Minister, informed the President that earlier there was not road in this direction. In accordance with the President's decree on the resolution of traffic in the capital city, a 4-stripe road was built with the length of 650m from Ganjlik square to Jeyhun Hajibayli . To make this road an avenue, it was extended to Nasimi District - Samed Vurgin St.
The minister said that the new avenue plays considerable role in the resolution of traffic problems in the country and removal of traffic jams in Baku.
"One more priority of this road is that major roads in the direction of the Ganjlik square are connected to avenues," the minister. It is possible ride to the Jeyhun Hajibayli St, Hasan Aliyev проспект St, Mirali Gashgay , Azadlyg Avenue, Khan Shushinskiy St, Samad Vurgun St. As part of the road to Jeyhun Hjibayli St is named after Nasib bey Yusifbayli , the continued part of the road was named after him," the minister said.
The width of the road is 16m and the length of passage is 15m. The width of each stripe is 3.75m. necessary conditions have been provided for pedestrians. The movement from the Vagif St to the Ganjlik Sq will be one-sided.
It is also planned to lay road from the Ganjlik square in the direction of Tebriz St.
The Azerbaijani President stressed the importance of upgrading the Ganjlik square, expansion of the Vagif St, opening of new roads in other parts of the capital city. The head of state drove in the new road.
