As of June 1, share of Georgian five biggest banks' assets hits 78.9 percent in total amount of banking system of the country, Georgia's national bank said on July 1.
Total amount of assets hits 7.827 billion lari ($1 - 1.65 lari).
Own funds of banking sector hit 1.5 billion lari (19.7 percent).
Presently, roughly 20 commercial banks operate in Georgia, 15 with foreign capital but 2 - fully foreign. Their share in total amount of commercial banks' assets hit 86 percent.
