Despite it, prices on tourist insurance policies are not expected to reduce, experts of the organization said. Most of insurers do not reduce prices or keep them at the same level of 2008 depending on kind of insurance and distance of tour.
This situation positively affected activity of tour companies, experts of the organization said. Tourist companies became more careful while choosing local, foreign partner and clients.
Insurance companies also think about making of changes and innovations to insurance policies to draw and increase number of clients.
Development of domestic tourism insurance is also observed on insurance market recently. Unlike insuring of people leaving the country, insurance is not necessary within the country. But most of tourists pay special attention to guarantees for rest, even within the country, experts said.
Many medical enterprises passed to self-financing. Medical treatment is expensive there because tourists began insuring to reduce medical expenses while resting.
Medical insurance holds the first place in insurance policy among tourists during summer because of swine flu. Though tourists require paying off medical expenses from virus, tour operator refuse from taking these expenses saying that swine flu is not indicated in insurance agreement.
Prices for insurance of tourists in Azerbaijan vary from $0.2 to $0.5 per day depending on kind of insurance and class, experts said. Prices for this kind of insurance are determined depending on statistics of insurance case, as well as desired limit of insurer, age category, term of trip, etc.
