Roughly 300 kg of expired products withdrawn from Azerbaijani counters

The State Supervision Department over the consumer market under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry held the next monitoring at the consumer market on 13 July in which revealed about 300 kilograms of expired products, the ministry reported on July 14.

Monitoring covered the Sabunchi district of Baku, as well as Khachmaz and Ganja cities.

The expired-food products included sausages, flour and confectionery products, vegetable oils, milk and dairy products, soft drinks, mayonnaise, and others.

Protocols on administrative violations have been compiled on one enterprise and seven individuals - violators of consumer.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, some 34 enterprises were fined worth 132,500 manats and 167 individuals - 251,000 manat.

On July 14, the official exchange rate is 0.8043 manat to $1.
