Banking sector of Georgia consisted of 19 commercial banks, as of Oct 1. The authorized capital of 13 banks comprises foreign capital, including two branches of foreign banks.
Assets of credit banks fell by 1.3 million laris (US 1$ = 1.68 lari), or 0.02 percent as compared to previous month, to 7.877.1 million laris, the National Bank reported.
Internal funds of banking sector constitute 1.511 million laris, or 19.2 percent of full assets of commercial banks
Share of foreign capital in the authorized capital is 77.4 percent.
Profit of banking sector made up 7.7mln лари
Share of five banks with huge assets in banking sector's full assets increased by 0.1 percent as compared to the previous month to 79.8 percent.
