$681m exports via Kermanshah

More than 1.296 million tons of goods worth over $681.5 million have been exported via the western Kermanshah province in the first ten months of the current calendar year (started March 20, 2009).

The amount shows an 89 percent increase in terms of volume and 57 percent rise in terms of value in comparison to the same period previous year, ISNA news agency reported.

Ice cream, grey cement, cake and biscuits, tomato paste, apples, potatoes, tiles, fish and tomatoes were the main exported items.

The goods were exported to 22 countries, mainly to Iraq.

Some 28,913 tons of goods worth about $39.25 million were also imported in the mentioned period via the province.

The amount registers a 63 percent decrease in volume and a 30 percent fall in value compared to the same period the year before.
