Azerbaijan-UK trade and economic relations are dynamically developing. Relations between the two countries largely revolve around energy cooperation, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UK Fakhraddin Gurbanov said in an interview with Trend.
"Despite this, our main goal is to direct these relations from energy to other spheres of the economy. The Azerbaijani-British Business Council was established for this end," Gurbanov said.
Two trade missions have visited Azerbaijan and the UK held a trade and investment forum dedicated to the country in March. A third UK trade mission will visit Azerbaijan in June. The delegation is expected to comprise heads of several renowned UK companies. During the visit, they will meet with their Azerbaijani counterparts and receive extensive information on foreign investment and the business environment in the country.
"We plan to conduct these meetings in Baku and London. Of course, all of this contributes to establishing links between business circles and conducting joint projects," Gurbanov added.
