In late July, 4,154 plastic cards were in use in Azerbaijan. It exceeds the similar index in early March by 0.1 percent and by 4.5 percent in late 2009, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) reported.
The number of operations with debit cards hit 4,159 in this period. Total amount of operations with debit cards hit 522 million manat.
Of total of 4,039 operations were held with debit cards through the ATM worth 499 million manat and 71,000 operations through the POS- terminals in the amount of 16 million manat
The number of operations by credit cards hit 184,400 worth 51 million manat in July 2010.
A total of 75,000 operations worth 18 million manat were carried out by credit cards through the ATM and 15,000 operations in the amount of 11 million manat through Pos-terminals
