Trade association in maritime transport will be included in the composition of the Azerbaijani State Caspian Sea Shipping Company (CASPAR), the "Azerbaijan" newspaper reported today.
According to the report, under the CASPAR's decree dated Aug.1 of 2010, status of legal entity of the trade association will be eliminated from Oct.1 and this structure will join the CASPAR.
Creditors and debtors may apply to the CASPAR within two months.
CASPAR has 80 vessels on its balance. The total volume of ships on the balance is 43 tanker and 37 cargo ships and ferries. The total deadweight tonnage of all vessels is more than 486,000 tons.
CASPAR transported about 13.2 million tons of cargo in 2009. Of the total volume more than 9.86 million tons were transported by tankers, about 1.03 million tons - by vessels and the remaining approximately 2.3 million tons-by ferry.
