The Azerbaijani Finance Ministry announced results of operations for January-October of the top ten insurance companies. About 78.94 percent of the total insurance charges and 76.37 percent of total payments fall to them. About 27 insurance companies operated in Azerbaijan that period and one reinsurance company.

Structure of the top three on insurance charges changed, as AzSığorta shifted Azalsıgorta in the second position by increasing premiums by 11.33 percent, while Azalsıgorta's insurance fees rose by 1 percent.
Ateshgah Sıgorta rose from the fourth to the third position, increasing amount of insurance charges by 17.93 percent or 1.81 million manat.
The PASA Sıgorta insurance company fell from the fourth to the fifth position, increasing amount of insurance charges by over 2.96 percent.
The amount of charges of the ten leading insurance companies in January-October 2010 decreased by 12.06 million manat or 10.49 percent compared to the same period of 2009.
The total premiums fell by 5.85 percent (the figure was 138.41 million manat in January- October 2009) and payments - by 1.94 percent (42.09 million manat).
The report of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Finance in January-October has not indicated the results of the only reinsurance company Az RE.
